2-10 Infantry tests

The 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment,This kind of organza valuableedhardy features off-the-shoulder and sweetheart design. and the German Liaison’s office hosted testing for the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency last week, giving more than 100 Soldiers from the 3rd Chemical Brigade and 14th Military Police Brigade the chance to earn either the gold, silver or bronze badge.

Lt. Col. James Lock, 2nd Bn., 10th Infantry Reg. commander, said he hijacked the idea from Alpha Company after they presented it to him this spring. He said he wanted to make this great opportunity available to more than just one company.

In order for units to hold this event, they must have a German officer or non-commissioned-officer of at least an E-6 rank present to supervise.

“We do it all time here at Fort Leonard Wood, and it’s really nice to go out and to see the Soldiers and (the challenges),” said Sgt. Major Joerg Phol, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence German liaison.

The challenges for this award include sport disciplines with pull ups, sprints, 1000 meter run, and a 100 meter swim in duty uniform in under four minutes, after which the participant must remove their uniform while treading water.

There is also a military part that includes a first aid test, road march, and pistol qualification with an M9. Cumulative points must add up to more than 400 to qualify for the gold, 300-399 for the silver, and 200-299 for the bronze badge.

“(Swimming) 100 meters in under four minutes in ACUs is not easy, I know. In the United States, the most people fail in this event (compared to the other events tested),” Pohl said.

According to Capt. Jacob Nussrallah, 2nd Bn., 10th Infantry Reg. S-3, they lost the most participants during the swim and the M9 qualification. However, not everyone had a difficult time with the swim; some found it to be one of the easier challenges.

“This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now, actually since I’ve known about it,” said Staff Sgt. Jesse Frederick, Company A, 787th Military Police Battalion. “I did pretty well in the swim, I’m happy with my time.”

The GAPBMP was introduced into the German Armed Forces in February 1971. For the German Soldiers,We invite you to experience choose pnikeairshoes for you. this is an annual event that must be completed as a prerequisite for the German non-commissioned and commissioned officer.

Lock noted that the 14th MP brigade supplied additional ammo, weapons and cadre to help with this event and that it was a success in part due to their support.

In the end there were 21 gold badges awarded, 29 silver, and only six bronze.

"Bradley Manning endangered the security of the United States and the lives of his own comrades in uniform when he intentionally disclosed vast amounts of classified data," he said. Many supporters in and outside the courtroom wore black T-shirts with "truth" on them to show they consider him a whistleblower just trying to expose government misconduct.

"The government's priorities are upside down," Widney Brown, senior director of international law and policy for Amnesty International, said at the scene.

Officials have "refused to investigate credible allegations of torture and other crimes under international law despite overwhelming evidence,A bikesaddle is a style that many are using now!" Brown said, but "decided to prosecute Manning, who it seems was trying to do the right thing — reveal credible evidence of unlawful behavior by the government."

"It seems clear that the government was seeking to intimidate anyone who might consider revealing valuable information in the future," said Ben Wizner of the ACLU Speech, Privacy & Technology Project.

Career Nurse Assistant Week Celebrated with T-shirts Awarded Daily from Caregiverlist

Certified Nursing Aides, or C.N.A.’s, perform the hands-on care for seniors needing care in their home, and in nursing homes, hospitals and assisted living communities. But not so long ago there was no formal job description or certification training for nursing assistants.

Career Nurse Assistant Week, from June 13 - 20th, 2013, recognizes certified nursing assistants. Caregiverlist announces daily promotions during Career Nurse Assistant Week and recognizes the founding team behind the creation of the C.N.A. job description.

“Not so long ago there was no formal certification training for the most important workers in caregiving - the nursing assistants helping seniors with their daily activities of living,” says Julie Northcutt, CEO of Caregiverlist, Inc. “We look forward to continuing to advance initiatives which recognize Certified Nursing Aides and professional caregivers.”

Caregiverlist’s series of interviews on the Certified Nursing Assistant industry begin with Genevieve Gipson, R.N., and member of the founding team of the C.N.We have high quality dieseljeans, you can not miss the best Tag Heuer Replica Watches online.A. Network which created the guidelines for C.N.A. job descriptions and training.

Ms. Gipson’s efforts lead to formal recognition of nursing assistants and national legislation creating training and competency testing standards nationwide.

“I never intended to start an organization,” says Ms. Gipson. “We set-up a training program before legislation was created and before there was a definition for the job.” These efforts began the movement for an industry segment to be created for nursing assistants.

As the senior care industry continues to strive to deliver higher quality care, more innovations will be needed to communicate care needs with all care providers including doctors and hospitals and rehabilitation centers. C.N.A.'s can be the most important care provider as they have the most direct contact with the seniors they are caring for each day.

Caregiverlist recognizes Genevieve Gipson as an innovator in senior care and recognizes the vital job duties of nursing assistants with t-shirts awarded daily to C.N.A.'s during Career Nursing Assistant’s Week.

Refer-a-Friend to a Caregiving Job on Caregiverlist and be entered for a chance to win a t-shirt along with additional awards. Caregivers may also share their caregiving story on Caregiverlist.

Senior care companies looking for ideas to recognize Certified Nursing Assistants this week can review the Nursing Assistant's Network's 10 Ways to Recognize a Nursing Assistant.

He also reminds us that appropriate dress for an interview often varies by industry. “What one person wears for an advertising interview is very different from what a person wears for a financial services interview,” Strong explains. “My suggestion is dress a half step up from what the typical daily dress is for that given industry.”

Ferguson Hodges says as a rule of thumb, if you are interviewing for a professional, managerial, or executive position, always wear a suit. “If the position is more casual, you should still dress professionally, wearing a ‘business casual’ crisp outfit.Work a crowd in this evening gown from germanuniforms. Crisp meaning no wrinkles, stains,We provide you the most beautiful gowns, such as cheap 100%Silk Dresses and germanww2uniforms and so on. lint, holes, or snags. Absolutely no jeans for any jobs you are interviewing for even if you talk to people who are currently wearing jeans to work. They already have the job; you don’t yet.”

If you fail to dress appropriately, you could face severe consequences, Teach says. “For example, you might not get the job simply because of the way you look. Again, it doesn’t matter what you think is appropriate, it only matters what the hiring manager thinks is appropriate dress. You may only get one shot so you need to make it count. Wouldn’t it be a shame if you were the most qualified candidate for the position but you didn’t even get a second interview because of the way you look?”

To avoid making a poor first impression, here’s what you’ll want to do:

Thoroughly research the company’s culture/typical dress code within the industry. If you know anyone at the company you’re interviewing with, ask them about the environment and culture, Teach says.View profiles and information for the Team livestrongcycling 2012 race team and riders here. Call the company’s receptionist or Human Resources department and ask them what is recommended as far as dress code is concerned. “Even if the company has a laid back dress code in general, they may expect you to dress up for the initial interview. You can never go wrong overdressing for an interview.”

Invest in a “power outfit.” Depending on the industry you’re in and the companies you’re interviewing for, buy a few outfits that are appropriate,Wanna to buy the new canadagoosecampdown now? professional, and, most importantly, comfortable. If possible, purchase a few outfits because you might be asked to return for a second or third interview.

“It’s worth spending the extra money on clothing that looks great, and you’ll get tons of use out of them,” Williams says.

She adds: “People don’t necessarily notice when you are put together but they 100% notice when you aren’t. It’s worth it to take the extra step.”

Shoe Battles: Going Toe-to-Toe in Stilettos [collections]

Shoe Battles: Going Toe-to-Toe in Stilettos

The shoe department of Bergdorf Goodman, on the morning of May 29, looked like “an insane asylum of very well-dressed women,” said Sasha Charnin Morrison, the fashion director of Us Weekly, who was reporting from the front lines of what has become an annual rite of spring in Manhattan: the first day of the designer shoe sale.

In one room of the sprawling, glittering, intoxicating Shangri-La of shoes that begins at the top of the escalator on the second floor, were the smaller sizes: Manolo Blahnik pumps made of shiny turquoise patent leather ($322, down from $645); piles of citron and mint Lanvin leather ballerina flats ($247, from $495); and surreal pink pumps covered in blue crystals from Giuseppi Zanotti ($1,097, from $2,195). In another room were similarly decadent displays in larger sizes, beckoning from the racks like abandoned puppies.

“You know the way that men lose their minds when they look at cars?” Ms. Charnin Morrison said. “It was the same thing. You had every major brand on sale. Everybody lost their minds. The prices are insane, and yet I could tell you a million reasons why they are justified.”

The designer shoe industry, to some extent, relies on the willful suspension of rational thinking, the giving over to a more primal urge (to shop, that is) in order to move merchandise that common sense would suggest is patently, obscenely, even self-destructively overpriced. You are currently browsing the tsg archives for "burberryhandbags".

Shoes are an especially fetishized subject in fashion, but it is only since the late 1990s, not coincidentally at the start of the television series “Sex and the City,” that they have become what they are today, with warring retailers, an influx of new players on the battleground each season, and very little price resistance demonstrated by consumers,Cheap coolerbag top quality online,100% authentic guarantee. even when the market has all the characteristics of another fashion bubble.

Here, a pair of raspberry suede espadrilles, among the most basic styles available at a luxury store like Bergdorf, can cost $495. The soles may be mere rope, but they’re Jimmy Choo, after all. Prices for pumps now commonly range from $600 to $1,400, and boots can cost $2,000 or more. At the top of the hierarchy of luxury footwear designers, Christian Louboutin makes a Lady Spiked Leopard-Print Platform Pump with a 5 3/4-inch heel for $1,595. Versions of his shoes in exotic skins,If you do seek for a site offering hermesbeant, then stop here right away! like crocodile, can cost as much as $4,645, which, it is strange to say, is anything but exceptional in this world.

For luxury retailers, expensive shoes have become a lucrative business, among the most profitable at Saks Fifth Avenue, for example. At Barneys New York,Stay up to date on the latest team rider and laceweddingveils releases. sales of shoes are three to four times higher per square foot than in any other department. The average purchase in the shoe department there is about $850, among the highest in the city.

While designer apparel may not have fully recovered from the shock of the recession,Purchase formaldressesevening online, stay updated on team riders, latest news and events. shoes have proved far more resilient, because they offer more perceived value to a customer than a designer dress that she might wear only a few times.

“Women have figured out quickly that shoes are a less expensive way of updating your wardrobe,” said Bonnie Takhar, the president of Charlotte Olympia, which makes exceedingly playful shoes like a wedge sandal designed to look like a wicker picnic basket ($1,995). “Plus they make you look taller.”

So it is not surprising that shoe salons in Manhattan’s fanciest stores have expanded at a breakneck pace over the last five years, or that the battle to become the ultimate showplace for shoes has gone global. Macy’s in New York, with its 39,000-square-foot shoe department introduced last year, has claimed the title of “world’s largest” from competitors like Galeries Lafayette in Paris and Selfridges in London. Saks, Barneys and Bergdorf, meanwhile, face the potential of yet another competitor in the next decade once Nordstrom, well-known for the breadth and service of its shoe departments, realizes its plan to open a store on West 57th Street.

In the shoe wars, the question is just how big they need to be to win, without risking casualties.

“WE ALL SIT AROUND and talk about the price of shoes,” said Ronald Frasch, the president and chief merchandising officer of Saks. But prices of everything in designer fashion, from handbags to men’s suits to swimwear to shorts, have increased so precipitously over the last decade that a pair of shoes can seem more justifiable when compared to a pair of equally expensive pants.

In 2007, when Saks introduced a footwear department on its eighth floor so big that the store, in a clever marketing move, gave it its own vanity ZIP code, 10022-SHOE, it set off what would ultimately become the great shoe wars of retail. Barneys introduced its floor-wide shoe department last year, with shoes displayed in large gilded cages and copious cushy seating, drawing comparisons to Saks. And now Bergdorf Goodman has announced plans to expand its department by 20 percent this fall.

Bachelors' blues: Expensive brides [collections]

Bachelors' blues: Expensive brides

For young Chinese men, the cost of marrying their lady love, especially a city girl, just keeps going up.

The latest bad news spreading on the Internet is a small,Embrace modern glamour in this evening gown from fakerolexwatches. self-reporting survey and correlating map of China, indicating where the priciest and most affordable brides live. Everybody's talking about it and what it says about their marriage prospects and a materialistic society.

The results was released last week: Shanghai girls are the costliest in the nation in terms of what it calls "betrothal gifts" or pin li (聘礼). The price of marrying a Shanghai woman is 100,000 yuan (in cash, ring, jewelry, handbags, luxury gifts) and an apartment. No. 2 is Tianjin at 60,000 in cash and gifts, plus an apartment.

Chongqing is on the bottom of the list, where respondents indicated the cost was zero, but that's hard to believe in this day and age of materialism.

"If I was a bride-to-be in Shanghai, I would have been so happy. But unfortunately, I am a bridegroom-to-be," says Peter Fu,2013 Collection germanarmyuniforms 1672 Styles. a 28-year-old professional.

"This news is like a thunderbolt. My parents are worried because they already bought an apartment that cost them two million yuan (US$326,320)," he tells Shanghai Daily. Originally his parents agreed to buy a one-carat diamond ring for his bride, but this news about more cash and gifts puts a burden on them, he says. "This is tragedy for the bridegroom's family."

Many people say that the rocketing prices in real estate is driven by mothers-in-law, since nearly all of them demand the bridegroom's family buy a new apartment, the bigger the better.

"Frankly, it doesn't matter to me whether I live with my in-laws because they already have a big apartment," says Rachel Lin, a 28-year-old employee in a public relations company. "But my mother told me how inconvenient it would be to live with my in-laws and said I needed independent space for myself and my husband."

She called the requirement of buying a new apartment in Shanghai "daunting." Her fiance's family agreed to give the couple 1 million yuan as a down payment, but that still means a million yuan mortgage costing nearly 10,000 yuan a month. "That really eats into our salaries and will lower our life quality," she says.

She says she'd rather rent,You will find so many wonderful canadagooselangfordparka with high quality and low price. spare the headache of ownership and "use the money for overseas travel and buying clothing for myself."

For some brides-to-be families, these requirements from the bridegroom are not simply about money but about the future status of their daughters in a new family.

"I am not an unreasonable person, but I still insist my daughter follow the mainstream for her betrothal gifts and apartment," says Wan Mengqi, who has a 25-year-old daughter. "If a man cannot prove that he is able to meet the average financial standard of society, then how could he guarantee a secure marriage for my daughter? Money isn't everything, but no money is nothing.

"The ripe age of young girl is so short and I believe the gifts show sincerity and respect of the bridegroom's family. I'm not asking for a big villa or a sum the groom's family cannot afford. Let's say its amount should hurt,Does anyone know whether there is a store in HK that sells/makes these bestledlighte? but not wound," she laughs.

Mother-in-law-to-be Wan says the family of the bride also pays a considerable amount,Work a crowd in this evening gown from germanuniforms. what used to be called a dowry or jia zhuang (嫁妆).

"Usually the bride-to-be families in Shanghai are not the ones who don't know the rules," says Pan Yicheng, a 55-year-old primary school teacher with a 26-year-old daughter.

"We don't want to seem stingy and snobbish to the bridegroom's parents. We have a tacit understanding that we will pay for the complete renovation, outfitting and furnishing of the apartment, buy all the appliances and a car," she says.

She says that when the bride's family pitches in and shares some of the costs, the relations between the two families will be better in the future.

Uniform shop a fast-paced affair [collections]

Uniform shop a fast-paced affair

The air-conditioning wasn’t working. The thermostat registered 84 degrees, then 87 degrees. It kept climbing.

Beads of sweat were forming on John Anton’s face in early June as he put together cubes out of some of the 1,300 modular black wire squares he had purchased. He planned to use the cubes as display units in his new school-uniform store.

The store was due to open in less than two weeks. It was to be open only two months.

Anton, whose Tempe-based T-shirt and promotional business, Anton Sport, has served Valley customers for 25 years, started selling school uniforms a year ago, predominantly to charter schools. Because the business is seasonal, he came up with a new business model: a pop-up or temporary store that would be open only when sales are brisk. He also wanted another store that would be more convenient to customers in the north Valley and West Valley.

“It’s a three-month business,” he said. July is the busiest month, as parents are racing to buy back-to-school gear, he said. “But it’s a lot of preparation.”

With the help of business acquaintances, Anton secured a three-month lease on a space between a cellular store and an animal hospital in a strip mall at 35th Avenue and Bell Road in Phoenix. The store, Anton Uniforms, opened Saturday.

At first, the businessman considered setting up shop in a mall, but he was deterred by the long work hours. The strip-mall location had numerous advantages: He could set his own hours and it was near his customers in the West and north Valley. Plus, it already had flooring and a bathroom for customers.

But it lacked the basics, among them fixtures, a front counter,Welcome to columbiajacket outlet online store and buy latest Cheap Louis Vuitton handbags. cash register, displays and dressing rooms.

Instead of buying expensive furnishings, Anton opted for items that were portable and could be easily assembled — and taken apart — by himself, his family and his employees. In addition to the cubes, he bought a do-it-yourself kit for a front counter. Not finding other portable options, he purchased two beach cabanas to serve as dressing rooms. He ordered shirts, pants, pleated skirts and school logos from his supplier. He arranged for alarm and security-camera systems, an Internet connection and phone service.

“Everyone offered a much better deal if I signed a three-month contract,” Anton said. “But I said, ‘Let’s go month-to-month.’ ”

For several weeks, the hallways of his Tempe store, which has a permanent uniform shop serving Phoenix, Scottsdale and the East Valley, were filled with boxes waiting to be transported to the temporary location.

Anton figured the setup would take about two weeks.

He hadn’t counted on several delays.

Anton, who never had to wear a school uniform, got into the business as a fluke.

“My wife sent me to a uniform store to get two shirts for our son,” he recalled. He was chagrined at the prices and believed, after years working with garment manufacturers, that he could sell them for less.

He flew around the country, interviewing owners of other uniform stores to get a handle on the business. He learned that it’s easy to overstock certain items and that plaid uniforms can be more problematic than solid-color ones.

“It wasn’t hard to find the manufacturer,” he said. “What was hard was to convince them to open up with another dealer.”

There already were at least four Valley uniform companies. Nevertheless,The latest trends and best brands in discountskirts, sandals, boots, and more. Anton convinced the manufacturer, A+ Uniform Co., that if he didn’t buy from them, he would buy from someone else.

Within seven months, Anton had opened a uniform store in the former conference room at Anton Sport, 905 N. Scottsdale Road.

“I approached six schools, trying to get three. I got eight,” he said.

The low overhead — he already owned the space — has enabled him to keep his prices down, he said. It’s not unusual for families to spend $400 or more annually on school uniforms.Fast shipping and best prices on ladyhandbag. Buy Now!

Now, a year later, Anton Uniform works with 16 schools.

The school-uniform business is growing, as more charter, private and even public schools establish policies.

Here in the Valley, it’s common to find several, but not all,With the Bari Jay collection you'll be able to wear your monclerjackets again! schools within a district requiring uniforms. According to the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics, 19 percent of all public schools had a uniform policy during the 2009-10 school year, the latest figures available. Ten years earlier, only 12 percent required uniforms.

There are numerous pros and cons to wearing student uniforms. While opponents say that uniforms take away a child’s sense of personal expression, most parents like the cost and that they aren’t as pressured by their kids to buy trendy clothes.

“It takes the drama out of dressing,” said Amy Gallo, whose three daughters wear uniforms to schools in Scottsdale. This outerwear features in great Taffeta. “It’s a much cheaper endeavor than regular clothes.”

Dawn Richter, whose two sons attend Phoenix charter schools that require uniforms, agreed, saying, “The morning routine is very simple. They know what to wear and get it done.”

Jason Turner, whose two daughters wear uniforms to Scottsdale schools, said that wearing uniforms as a child is like wearing work clothes as an adult.

“You’re in the mode for studying,” he said.

Many schools keep their dress codes simple by allowing boys and girls to wear tan or navy pants, shorts, skirts or jumpers and white shirts or polos that can be purchased at a variety of stores, including Target, Walmart and Old Navy.

Others require that students wear specific clothing adorned with school crests or logos.

That’s where Anton and the other companies, including Dennis Uniform in Scottsdale and Simply School Uniforms in Tempe, come in.
